One Injured In Overturned SUV Crash In Westchester

One person was injured after losing control of his SUV and overturning the vehicle.

The incident took place just before noon Tuesday at the corner of Yonkers Avenue and Kimball Avenue, in Yonkers, trapping the driver, said Yonkers Police Det. Sgt. Dean Politopoulos.

Politopoulos said the male driver may have suffered a medical event of some kind before the crash. After losing control and flipping, the SUV hit two or three other vehicles, he said.

The man had to be pulled out of the SUV before being transported to a local hospital, he said.

The extent of the person's injuries or their condition was not immediately known.

Responding to the crash included the Yonkers Police Department, IAFF Local 628 Yonkers Firefighters, and Empress Emergency Medical Services.
